The Apex is built around that scenario: a Kong Frog Clip rated to 5,620 pounds of break strength paired with a swivel mechanism and BioThane® construction that handles whatever the outing throws at it.

BioThane® construction. The Apex is made from BioThane®, giving it waterproof, stink-proof performance that holds up through rain, mud, and repeated use without absorbing odour or degrading. Rinse it off and it is ready to go again.

Kong Frog Clip. The Kong Frog Clip carries a break strength of 5,620 pounds and opens and closes with minimal effort, so it stays reliable even when your hands are cold, wet, or gloved.

Swivel mechanism. A built-in swivel keeps the leash moving freely at the attachment point, preventing the line from twisting and knotting during active outings. A tangle-free dog leash on a hard trail matters more than it does on a Sunday sidewalk.
